Zepahex / Zapanex / Tracleer (bosentan) 125 mg, 56 film-coated tablets, France Tracleer (bosentan) is used for pulmonary arterial hypertension to improve exercise capacity and clinical symptoms in eligible patients.

Treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension to improve exercise tolerance and clinical symptoms in patients of III class according to WHO functional classification. Efficacy has been demonstrated in the following conditions:

• primary (idiopathic and hereditary) pulmonary arterial hypertension;
• secondary pulmonary arterial hypertension related to scleroderma without significant interstitial lung disease;
• pulmonary arterial hypertension associated with congenital systemic and pulmonary shunts and Eisenmenger's physiology.

Some improvement was also demonstrated in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension class II according to the WHO functional classification.

Reduction in the number of new digital ulcers in adults with systemic sclerosis and in progressive ulceration of the extremities (fingers and toes).

In adults patients treated with bosentan are started with a dose of 62,5 mg 2 times a day for 4 weeks, and then the dose is increased to a maintenance dose of 125 mg 2 times a day. The same recommendations can be applied when resuming the use of bosentan after interruption of treatment.
