Indications for Volibris
The drug Volibris is indicated for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension of functional classes II-III according to the WHO classification. In combination with tadalafil, the drug is used to reduce the risk of therapy (a composite endpoint including death, hospitalization for PAH, disease progression and unsatisfactory clinical response), as well as to increase clinical efficacy and exercise capacity*.
When monotherapy, treatment with Volibris should begin with a dose of 5 mg 1 time / day. If the dose of 5 mg is well tolerated, it can be increased to a maximum daily dose of 10 mg 1 time/day.
When using the drug in combination with tadalafil, the dose of ambrisentan should be titrated to 10 mg 1 time/day.
