Indications
Prezista drug® in combination with low-dose ritonavir and other antiretroviral drugs is indicated for the treatment of patients infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1).
Prezista drug® 600 mg indications:
- for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adult patients who have previously received antiretroviral treatment, including those receiving intensive antiretroviral therapy;
- for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in children with a body weight of at least 40 kg.
At the beginning of treatment with Prezista® simultaneously with low-dose ritonavir, the treatment history of each patient and the forms of mutations associated with various antiretroviral agents should be taken into account. The results of genotypic and phenotypic testing (if possible) and the patient's treatment history should be guided by the use of Prezista®.
