Indications for use
Nintedanib is indicated for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF)8 and to slow decline in lung function in patients with interstitial lung disease associated with systemic scleroderma10. It is also indicated for the treatment of chronic fibrosing interstitial lung diseases with a progressive phenotype10.
In the EU, nintedanib, under the brand name Vargatef, is indicated in combination with docetaxel for the treatment of adult patients with metastatic, locally advanced or locally recurrent adenocarcinoma-type non-small cell lung cancer who have already received first-line therapy9.
