Indications
Trametinib is indicated as monotherapy for the treatment of patients with inoperable or metastatic melanoma with braf V600e or V600k mutations not previously treated with braf inhibitors.6,8
It is used in combination with dabrafenib for:
treatment of unresectable or metastatic melanoma with BRAF V600E or mutations V600K.7
adjuvant treatment of patients with melanoma with BRAF V600E or V600K mutations and lymph node involvement after complete resection.7,8
treatment of patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with a BRAF mutation V600E.7 In Europe, it is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer with the BRAF V600.8 mutation
treatment of patients with locally advanced or metastatic anaplastic thyroid cancer (ARTC) with the BRAF V600E mutation and lack of satisfactory locoregional treatment options.7
Treatment of adults and children six years of age and older with unresectable or metastatic solid tumors with the BRAF V600E mutation who have had disease progression after prior treatment and have no satisfactory alternative treatment options. In the United States, this indication received accelerated approval based on overall response rate and duration of response. Continued approval for this indication may be contingent on confirmation and description of clinical benefit in confirmatory study(s).7
