Application
Deferiprone is indicated for the treatment of patients with post-transfusion iron overload syndrome in the treatment of thalassemia in case of ineffectiveness of current chelation therapy.
Dosage and administration
The recommended initial dose of deferiprone is 75 mg/kg body weight per day, orally, for three reception. The maximum daily dose of deferiprone is 99 mg/kg body weight.
